Description
These Cranberry and Brie Tartlets are a festive, elegant appetizer that pairs sweet and savory flavors in one perfect bite. Made with puff pastry, brie, cranberry sauce, and optional nuts and herbs, they’re fast, impressive, and perfect for holidays or dinner parties.
Ingredients
For the Tartlet Shells:
- 1 package puff pastry (2 sheets, thawed)
- Flour for dusting
For the Filling:
- 8 oz brie cheese, cubed
- 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
- 1/4 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped (optional)
- 1 tbsp fresh rosemary or thyme, chopped
- 2 tbsp honey (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F and lightly grease a mini muffin tin. Roll out thawed puff pastry on a floured surface and smooth out creases.
2. Use a 3-inch round cutter or glass to cut circles. Press into muffin tin to form shells. Prick each with a fork.
3. Place a cube of brie in each shell, followed by a spoonful of cranberry sauce. Add nuts if using.
4. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from tin.
5. Garnish with rosemary or thyme and drizzle with honey if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
Don’t overfill to avoid soggy bottoms. Tartlets can be assembled ahead and baked later. Brie rinds are edible, leave them on for extra flavor.
