Description
This St. Patrick’s Day Brownie Trifle layers fudgy brownies with fluffy mint whipped cream and chocolate chips for a show-stopping green and brown dessert that’s as festive as it is irresistible.
Ingredients
- 1 box brownie mix (plus 2 eggs and ½ cup unsalted butter)
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 tsp mint extract
- Green food coloring (a few drops)
- ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Optional: 2 tablespoons sugar for whipped cream
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a baking pan. Mix and bake brownies as per package directions using 2 eggs and ½ cup melted butter.
2. Allow brownies to cool completely, then crumble into bite-sized chunks.
3. Whip heavy cream until soft peaks form. Add sugar to taste, then fold in mint extract and green food coloring.
4. In a trifle bowl or clear cups, layer crumbled brownies, mint whipped cream, and chocolate chips.
5. Repeat layers and finish with whipped cream on top.
6. Chill in refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
- Let brownies cool fully before assembling to avoid melting the cream.
- Use a 2–3 quart trifle bowl for a dramatic presentation.
