Description

These Valentine’s Day Pizza Roses are romantic, fun, and surprisingly easy to make. Rolled pizza dough, pepperoni, marinara, and mozzarella form stunning edible roses that bake up in just 15 minutes, perfect for date night or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can pizza dough
  • Marinara sauce (to taste)
  • Mozzarella cheese slices
  • Turkey pepperoni slices
  • Cooking spray or butter (for greasing muffin tin)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F and grease muffin tin.

2. Roll out pizza dough and cut into 6 strips, each about 2 inches wide.

3. Spread thin layer of marinara on each strip.

4. Add mozzarella slices, leaving clean border on bottom edge.

5. Line with turkey pepperoni, overlapping slightly with tops sticking out.

6. Roll each strip into rose shape and place in muffin tin.

7. Bake 15 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.

Notes

  • Don’t use too much sauce, it can make the dough soggy.
  • Roll roses snugly so they hold shape during baking.
  • Check at 12 minutes if oven runs hot.
  • Grease muffin tin well to prevent sticking.
  • Great for prepping a day in advance, just refrigerate until ready to bake.
